ROBO Cylinder is used for the horizontal transferring section of the component supplying device.
Usage
ROBO Cylinder is used in the pick & place mechanism of the horizontal transferring section, which is in the component supplying device for the measuring instrument assembling device.
The function of the ROBO Cylinder in use.
Explanation
- In the case of air cylinders

- Rod-less type is used for the horizontal cylinder.
- Moves in a high speed from auto switch 1 ~ auto switch 2, and operates in low speed from auto switch 2 ~ auto switch 3 by switching the electromagnetic valve. (2 level speed control)
- Once the work detection sensor turns ON, the horizontal cylinder stops, and the elevating cylinder moves down, having the work attached.
- Air cylinders had a scattered stop position which caused by the stops by sensor detections, which lead to a frequent attaching errors.
- In the case of ROBO Cylinders

- Once the work detection sensor turns ON, it will be stopped by the pausing function and the elevating cylinder moves down, having the work attached to it.
- There are almost no attaching errors occurring since changed to ROBO Cylinder, since it has an easy speed controls, and a good precision for stopping position.
In the case of air cylinders, attaching error causes the whole process of, redo the vertical movement→detects the work with the sensor→pick up, work efficiency was low, but since the attaching error occurs rarely on to ROBO Cylinders, the work efficiency has increased, increasing the processing ability by 30%.
Using the zone signals of the ROBO Cylinders, the surrounding devices are enabled to have an assured interlock, so that they may not operate while the head is above the conveyor.
(Auto switch confirmations were used for air cylinders, but there were problems on its reliability)
