Correlation diagram of speed and load capacity
RCP2 series follows the characteristic of the pulse motor installed in them, where the load capacity drops when operated in high speed. Search for desired speed and load capacity from the table below.

Correlation of vertical load capacity and lifetime travelling distance
RCP2W-RA10C has a larger maximum thrust than other types, so its life will vary greatly depending on the payload and pushing force used.
If you are referring to "Load capacity by speed/acceleration" or "Correlation of pressing force and current limit value" to select the type, check the lifetime traveling distance through the correlation diagram of load capacity and lifetime traveling distance, and of pressing force and lifetime traveling distance.
(Note) Rated value is the maximum value for those with travelling lifespan of 5000km. Maximum value refers to the maximum operatable value. Please take note that the life span drops as shown in the graph above when it is run exceeding the rated value.
Adaptive controller
The actuators introduced in this page are controllable using the controllers shown below. Please select their type based on intended usage.

Important notes on selection
(1) Each lead has a lower speed limit of their own. (Lead 10: 10mm/s, Lead 5: 5mm/s, Lead 2.5: 1mm/s) Please note that operating below the minimum speed may cause vibrations, etc. (2) Since the RCP2 series uses a pulse motor, the payload capacity decreases as the speed increases. (3) The payload is the value when lead 10 is operated at 0.04G, lead 5 at 0.02G, and lead 2.5 at 0.01G. The above value is the upper limit for acceleration. The horizontal payload value is when an external guide is used. Detent mechanism may get damaged if a force was applied to the rod, except towards its moving direction. (4) The cable joint connector is not drip-proof. Please install it in a place where it will not be exposed to water. (5) Please refer to page 1-387 of the General Catalogue 2017 for the push-motion. (6) Precaution is required depending on the attachment orientation. Refer page 1-199 for further details. (7) A conversion unit, or a conversion cable is required to connect with RCON. Refer to page 7-25 for further details. |

*1 Connect a motor/encoder cable. Please note that the motor cable is common to the RCP2 series, but the encoder cable is exclusive. Refer to page 1-101 for details of the cable. The cable joint connector is not drip-proof. Please install it in a place where it will not be exposed to water.
*2 The rod moves to the ME upon returning to origin, so please take precaution that it may not interfere with anything during the process. Dimensions in parentheses are reference dimensions.
*3 The direction the width between two flats are facing differs by product.
*4 The intake and exhaust ports are piping for removing air from inside the main body. Insert a tube with an outer diameter of φ6mm and extend it to a place where it will not be exposed to water.
*5 The actuator cable is not a robotic cable (flexible cable). Please avoid using it on moving parts such as cable tracks.
(Note) RA10C does not support reversed origin specification due to its structure.
(Note) The brake equipped version has a 45.5mm longer overall length and 1.5kg more mass than the standard version.
