SCARA Robot (Horizontal multi joint robot) IX series is a re-design version of old IH series in all components with a new top class level of specification for high speed performance, load capacity, repeating positioning accuracy.
Also being a leader in usability, line up and cost performance.

It is more compact size than
the old type (IH series)
Arm 1 uses aluminium extruded material which gives benefits in rigidity, lighter weight and low inertia.
The processing speed for controller is up and trajectory accuracy is enhanced due to the higher rigidity of the body.
Additional, coating work using 3 dimensional arc or 3 dimensional path operation can be done easier and correctly.
Writing a program for path, even though there are many points, can be done in single line.

With this D-sub 25 pin connector, which is installed on the top of body, helps user do the work on wiring easier.
User pipe is setting as Φ4 for 2 pcs, and Φ6 for 2 pcs.
Even if the power of controller is turned off, the brake can be released using the brake release switch mounted to the body. (※1)
The trouble message can be checked from the body side of robot that will show alarm messages. (※2)
This program uses super SEL language which is renowned in orthogonal robot.
This program can deal with complicated operation and it is very easy even for the person that has no knowledge about robot language to be able to write this program.
Press-fitting or torque control for work can be done using Z axis (vertical axis) pressing function.
Interference check zone can be set up to 10 pcs within the operation range.
Please use low speed test operation when going into check zone, because it will send out the signal.
All type uses 17 bits serial absolute encoder,
so there is no necessity to return to its origin to get a high accuracy positioning.
Also, if there is a necessity to reset absolute, it can be done easily and accurately without using any special tools.
